Orange Makeup Look Inspired by the Pumpkin

With the beloved pumpkin being the star of the current season, it seemed only right to do a makeup look featuring an all orange ensemble (see what I did there?). This look is perfect for fall (or what feels like winter already here in London!) and can even be worn for thanksgiving, if you want to go slightly glam.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A pumpkin (Ha, I’m just kidding. Seriously, no pumpkins.)
  • Foundation
  • Orange lip liner
  • Orange lipstick (optional)
  • Orange eyeshadow
  • Black or grey eye pencil
  • Mascara (optional)

How to recreate the look:

After applying foundation over your face and neck, you’re going to do a cat eye without filling it in. Trace the outline of your eyelid, extending the outer corners, shading in only the V. To make the line appear less harsh, smudge it using a blending brush. You’ll want to use a pencil liner, as opposed to gel, because you’ll be able to get the desired look. Swipe some orange shadow across your brow bone, above that line you created. Finish off by applying the orange lip liner or lipstick to your lips, careful not to go over the natural line. Remember, to love your features the way they are!

Tips: Since this look is already quite dramatic, I don’t recommend applying blush. You can coat your eyelashes with mascara. I haven’t done so, but it sure will bring the look together. You can also fill in your brows and do a little contouring, if you wish. Make sure to choose a matching orange shadow for the eyes. If you like, you can use the same liner you used on your lips for your brow bone.

That’s it, you’re all done. Hope you like this look and try it this season!
