Get ready ladies and gents, because we’ve got work to do. We’re reaching the end of a bumpy year and some of us may still be lagging behind. Now is the perfect time to reevaluate our goals and get back on track.
Let’s take a look at the key areas we need to improve on.
I’m going to be honest; it’s very difficult for me to eat healthy food, especially since I have a tendency to lean towards the junk stuff. Being naturally thin, eating junk doesn’t affect my weight much. On the other hand, what it does to my hair and skin tell a different story. This is why it’s so important to eat healthy, but you shouldn’t go as far as restricting yourself to the point that you can’t even look at a slice of cake. To prepare yourself for a healthier you, take baby steps. Start off by eating less junk and eating more fruits and veg. Don’t go cold turkey though, that’s a recipe for disaster. Pun intended.
If you’ve been slacking all year long, now is the time to get back into the swing of things. Forget exercise, incorporate more movement into your daily life. This will give you more energy, increase productivity and get your body healthy and lean. Once you’ve started moving more, we can take it to the next level.
If you were to ask me if I exercise, I would say sure. Rushing to get to work on time qualifies as exercise, right? Maybe not. But nevertheless, walking at a brisk pace is light but requires enough exertion to keep you toned and healthy.
Sometimes, there’s so much to do that we can find ourselves way behind and trying to catch up. If you’re not happy with where you are at right now in your life, then you need to do whatever it takes to change it. If you’re nowhere near your goals, it may be time to make a plan and set yourself some deadlines.
All work and no play makes Nina a dull girl. It’s important to enjoy life and everything it has to offer to the fullest. You may be working hard but do you allow yourself enough time to de-stress? When stress takes a toll on you, it also affects your work. Work hard but enjoy life – you need that balance.
That’s right, it may be time to evaluate your own behaviour and outlook on life. Have you been bitter this year? Complaining that life’s not fair? That others get what they want and you don’t? Well, it’s time to start thinking more positively. It doesn’t mean that you won’t get your fair share of bad luck, you’ll still get ’em but you’ll be more equipped with dealing with life’s pitfalls. Besides, positivity breeds positivity.
Well, that’s it for now. I hope this helps you to get back on track. Remember, take baby steps – it’s a sure road to success.
There’ll be more next year, so stay tuned!
